According to the “State of World Population (SWOP) 2025” report published by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), 19 percent of Bangladesh’s total population are adolescents, numbering around 33 million.

In addition, there are about 50 million young people aged 10 to 24, accounting for approximately 28 percent of the country’s total population.

The total population of Bangladesh now stands at 175.7 million.
